Hi, I’m Eitan (pronounced “Ay-tahn”), the Encino tennis coach. I coach and mentor new and advanced tennis players to attain improved technique, athletic performance, strategy, and mental strength. I also manage an extensive network of local players and offer exclusive group-play opportunities.
Before coaching full-time, I was a competitive junior player, college player, and USTA 5.0 competitor. I am based in Encino, CA but may be able to travel to other courts in Los Angeles. See available classes here or submit a coaching request.
My coaching philosophy
I want every player that comes to my court to love and appreciate tennis as much as I do. Tennis is not only the ultimate test of skill for an athlete, it is also the pursuit of good values such as individual accountability, sportsmanship, dedication, discipline, and attention to detail. I value these qualities above everything and expect my players to do the same.
My classes are straightforward. I work extensively on fundamentals and do not believe in gimmicks. The most effective way to improve is through high quality repetition and carefully curated exercises under the guidance of a qualified instructor.
My Tennis Blog
Even if you’re not a player in my network, I offer my thoughts and coaching advice through my tennis blog (see link at top). I interact with a large network of players and deal with a variety of interesting questions about strategy, the mental game, and the professional side of the sport (I’m a big fan). If you like quick, interesting reads about this incredible sport, have a look!
